Free Guitar Scales

A scale is simply a set of notes. Typically, the reason a particular scale works well with a particular song is because they both use the same collection of notes. On the guitar, a scale can be represented as a pattern of notes on the fingerboard. We provide guitarists and bass players with a free database of downloadable, easy to read diagrams that show you what these scale patterns look like. This way, you'll know which notes officially "gel" with your jam.

These blues scales, major scales, and pentatonic scales should get you started!

What Customers Say

"I've been playing bass for about a year. I learned some scales, practiced those quite a bit, then tried jamming with friends. The jamming was fun, but in order to really improve, I needed a lot more jamming experience. Given how difficult it can be to schedule jams with friends, I went looking for jam tracks.

I was pretty stoked to find the "Jam Tracks for Bass Players" albums from this site. They are pretty unique, in that each song has a ripping guitar solo, which makes it feel like I'm jamming with friends. WAY better than playing bass to a simple drum track, or even worse, a metronome! I'm having a blast playing along with these, and I highly recommend them to any other bass players!"
